What to do?

Tomorrow I will be closing this wonderful store so it's your last chance to grab a little piece of it!
There is now nothing over $40 so come check it out.
I was not sure what to do with this blog now so I think what I will do is just say it how it is and share my thoughts on whatever comes to mind.
I guess that is what a blog is about!
The old me would have just forgotten about it and felt to insecure to share but that is not me now.
So basically you can't get rid of me that easily!
I have become obsessed with quotes lately so i will leave you with this one:

"To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition, to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."
LOVE IT!
Watch this space, something will happen next!

Final Days

My final day is fast approaching. Neck of the Woods will be closing on Friday 28th October.

As one door closes in my life another one will open I know, but for now I begin my journey as a single mother of my two gorgeous children. My time is now for them.

Thankyou to all my beautiful customers who have offered me their love and support so generously, some who I only met once or twice but have helped me to gather strength and heal during this testing time.

New beginings

Thursday 30th June was my last day as owner of Neck of the Woods, it was a little sad, but over all a great feeling. I've had a fantastic year and achieved so much. Since deciding to sell I have been inundated with customers and locals telling me how much they loved NOTW and if someone bought it would they keep it the same. Well someone has bought it and as of today Neck of the Woods is now owned by the lovely Kristie Wright. Kristie is a local Manly girl and she loves everything about the shop and will be keeping it just as it is. Of course over time I'm sure her taste and personality will add its own flavour to the Woods. I'll be helping her out for the next few months and of course I'll be supporting her when ever she needs it. Good luck Kristie.

I have started a new little blog, if you want to check it out click on "Forestonia" on the right. Thanks for all your support. x

Skate style

It's my oldest sons eighth birthday at the end of this month. He is besotted with skating and would do it every second of the day if he could. Dad is a skater and stands by the quote "most male fashion trends are started by skaters". I wasn't too sure about this comment, but since being exposed to skating in video, magazines, film and on the street, I have noticed there are a lot of stylish skaters.

Makr has designed a the luxury skate deck above. It's custom shaped, hand stained and cleared, and features leather risers. Each deck is individually numbered to insure you get a one of a kind piece, they're beautiful.

Man About Town shot a a conceptually brilliant fashion video featuring Kilian Martin, one of the worlds best freestyle skaters. The music (Tommy Edwards classic tune “It’s All in the Game”), the fashion (Cerruti, Dior Homme, Giorgio Armani) and the skating, just makes me wonder if my husband is a little bit right...
